Sustenance

"Arise, shine: for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall rise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee." Isaiah 60:1-2

Solomon sits as a sign of strength
Wisdom witnessing well
What to collide with prayers of day
To convey escape from hell

Darkness whispers
Susurrant lies
Swarms the fool
Who quickly dies

Bleak and vacant
Deceptions gold
To the untrained ears
Of the dark one's fold

Humble hands that crack and bleed
Seek the source of good good seed
That they might press into the soil
And have a right to the Master's oil
