Point of Worship

frugality intercedes;
sown seeds of discernment
at oncoming traffic
and peril at bay;
what to placate day
anesthetized for night
that rips through
the courses
of conscious

what lies beneath
the surface pale
grayed and weathered
gathered dust
circling path
familiar trail
red brown dirt
aged on rust;
of a vision

peeled back layers
shells of skin
onion thin that snap
to loose
then
crumble from
a lack of strength
thats pivots on
day of truce

there at bay
horror coils
subtle slide
that wraps a noose
anchors into
pneuma bound
and shreds
the weak
who cannot loose

Psalm 44
repairs, strengthens,
and prepares for battle

"For our GOD is a consuming fire." He. 12:29
