Haven

Tiny pockets of breath
Folded into droplets of day
Break the dryness of mind
From sinking

As I think about cause
Pause to reflect
The light from the Son's
Great place

A forest aglow
A snowfallen hush
Reminding a breather
Of nothing to rush

clarity

vision strengthened
proper sure
waiting in the time endure
open flood of wrath to see
watch and wait
is His decree

place a foot
on solid ground
watch as all
will tumble down
focused on the lavish
trace
that He may erase
of His good grace

many perilious days shall come
many deviant people run
many wail at the coming horror
as unleashed the fury
His Holy Power

Way

Crossing Sideling Hill
I fixed my thoughts
On the sidereal and recalled
Days of promise and truth

When the swelling started
I cannot recall
Or why the vision
Stopped shrinking

Room to consume
The evident thaw
By the heat of the stars
Sure thinking

In night fades
Of optimal quiet
The doors of perception
Are open

In variant slices
Of sentient convey
The ways to the others
Are chosen

Circuits of light
Like fields on fire
Desire the wrapping
Of matter

And after the glory
Infuses the holy
The former will alight
As the latter

Rain flames down
On waiting want
To burst souls
On Jacob's ladder

reminisce

forty blooms ago
when the woods bled waves of pine scent over every thought
I didn't know
time was still
heavy as I trembled
under the touch
of God's spirit;
I remember
showers of gold
and the smell
of presence keeping me
safe and quietly soaking
wonder of green

now I lapse
into momentary recall
so barely similar
and patinated
with ache and age
under weight and dross;
lacking factions culminate
to perturb the recollections'
purity

perhaps clouding is necessary
to prevent the clarity of
lost

straighten

" In your patience possess ye your souls." Luke 21:19

Therefore be diligent to be found seeking.
Let not the world coerce.
Let not the lips speak falsely.
Be not perceived perverse.

In all things discern wisdom.
In all things lightly trod.
In all things seek His counsel.
In all things magnify God.

purge

it is a difficult task
to renounce the flesh
that must still be occupied

bits of gravel
collected
between the stones
of gold
adhere
but must be cleared
for polishing
of understanding

"Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified." Psalms 70:4

humbled

eventide actuate
forces form outline
heavy threads accelerate
critical mass mine

substance suffers battering
from the world's unworthy hands
so I inclined to God for glory
to heal the sickened lands

and He inclined to me
"And he answered,
Fear not: for they that be
with us are more than
they that be with them."
II Kings 6:16
